Monday morning we took our time before getting around to hitching up to move 135 miles south. In fact we took the time to enjoy breakfast at the nearest Carl’s JR., back east think Hardee’s.
I continued the travel down HWY 101 instead of the coast hugging CA 1. I don’t like to pull the RV on a constantly twisting route. The weather was wonderful and the traffic was slight. Judy and I were checked in and set-up by 4:00PM at the Camp San Luis Obispo RV Park.
Camp San Luis Obispo is the original HQ of the California National Guard. It is a small base with a light operations tempo. The RV park only has twelve sites, all of them are pull thrus. It is a nice quiet park. Judy and I will be using it as a base while we get in some area sight seeing. We are looking forward to visiting Hearst Castle in the next few days.
Here are a few pics.
That is all for now. Thanks for stopping by.

Another nice area of CA. Enjoy your time there!
ReplyDeleteIt's been years since we've been to Hearst Castle, (70's). Take your time and take lots of picts. You'll go back to them several times.
