A Small Get-Together with Super Sun Shuffler Friends.

Mesa, AZ             H67 (cloudy)  L52

Judy and I hosted a long over due get-together with many of our “Super Sun”  friends recently. Although, we now spend the winter months in our home in Sunland Springs Village we continue to maintain strong friendships with our friends from Superstition Sunrise RV Resort, where we stayed the two previous winters in our RV. We are only about two miles away and I still sneak over and play in their morning shuffleboard league occasionally. Judy gets invites to the “girls only socials”.  Mostly, I see many of  them on the tournament circuit. A big shout-out to Cheryl M. for introducing me to tournament play two years ago in the “Do It, Done It” tournament.

Happy New Year

Mesa, AZ         H 52   L 45 Scattered Showers

The New Year sure got here quickly.  As I was thinking about it, I realized Judy and I have been back in AZ for three months and I haven’t written a blog entry since getting back.

We stay so busy here during our winter stay.  Judy and I go our separate ways in the morning and join back up in the late afternoon.  She plays pickleball and I am involved with shuffleboard daily.  I have competed in six tournaments so far and will be in one almost every week until mid March.

In November we went to GA to visit family and pick up some items we had stored when we sold our house and just lived in the RV. We had a great time visiting our family and seeing friends we haven’t seen for three years. We returned to AZ the last week of Nov.

Judy and I have had a full social calendar attending many “get togethers” and having friends over for evening wine/cocktails. In our retirement community folks are always available.

During our time in Colorado, Sunland Springs Village had some new additions. The Sunland Springs Village Golf Club had a new 1440 sq ft covered patio addition. It is a great place to relax after a round of golf or just watch sporting events with friends.  Judy was happy that eight new pickleball courts were completed bringing the total number of courts to twelve.

Only three months left until we head out in April. I am sure Judy and I will stay busy recreating.  These six months fly by. That is why we live here though.

That is all for now.  Thanks for stopping by
